I always enjoy watching planes. Especially if they are super-fast jet planes that can sneak up on someone during an airshow. The US Air Force Thunderbirds are in the area this weekend for the Gary Air Show 2025 at Miller Beach in Gary, Indiana. They, along with many other air acts, put on a great show this afternoon. The sky was sunny. The weather was hot. Lake Michigan was cold. The jets were fast and loud. All the perfect combination for an exciting weekend.

The other thing I always enjoy about the Gary Air Show is that it showcases the Miller Area and all of the beauty Marquette Park has to offer. I always love going to the beaches in Northwest Indiana and Marquette Beach is one I always seem to forget about because it is hidden away in the Miller neighborhood. That might be part of its charm because it isn't always busy in the summer time like some of the other beaches that get more publicity. It is also a vibrant community with many cool little stores, restaurants, and cafes. There's also a micro brewery my son says makes decent beer.
